Huawei Ascend Mate 2 images surface, hints at metal body

Huawei launched the Ascend Mate in India back in June,
which was one of the best mid-range large-screen
smartphones at that time. Now, images of the Ascend
Mate 2 has surfaced on weibo from the popular C
Technology. According to the images, the Black phone
is the Ascend Mate and the White one is the Ascend
Mate 2. According to the leaked image, the Ascend Mate
2 has a narrow frame with a smaller bezel. It is also
likely to come with brushed metal frame, but this might
just have a plastic build that looks like Metal, says the
user.
Another weibo user has posted an image of the back of
the device that shows a larger camera sensor with a
metal ring around it. The back has nice patterns that
was not seen on the first Ascend Mate.
Another image shows a thinner bezel around the
display, compared to the Ascend Mate, that lies next to
it. According to earlier rumors, the Ascend Mate 2 is
rumored to pack a 6.1-inch 720p or 1080p display,
powered by a 1.6 GHz quad-core HiSilicon Kirin 910
processor with Mali 450 GPU and run on Android 4.2
with Huawei’s own Emotion UI 2.0 on top. It is rumored
to pack a 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front
camera, 2GB RAM, 16GB of internal storage and a
microSD card slot.
